White Night

We started our afternoon cruise with this killer, giant flock of White Pelicans. Our captain floated us down right to them. They are a great bird and fun to watch, almost too much fun, you forget to push the button.  This photo was taken with the 600VR, hand held from a boat.

We shot long after the sun was gone so I went for the artsie fartsie. This is a immature White Ibis coming in for a landing in front of a group of Roseatte Spoonbills.  These kind of photos are everyone’s cup of tea, but I like this one though I wish it was a tad higher in the frame.
