Getting Paid to have Fun!

It was one darn good, productive day doing what I love to do mose, take photos. Heck, we even got a little wildlife photography with a pretty Mule Deer buck. The light had gone for our project but not gone for general photography. The clouds were on their way out of town when I noticed them gathered in the gap between Basket Dome and Half Dome. The photo was a simple click and the finishing done with Silver Efex Pro.

P6000 images

The P6000 is just plain ol fun! I’ve not figured out the NRW file thing yet so haven’t been able to unlock the raw power but I’m pretty impressed with the Jpegs. These shots were taken at ISO 64 with -1 stop comp dialed in to bring out the mood in the clouds and color.

Warming up the shutter

We started off early this AM by simply heading to the pond that’s on the highway at Fish Camp. It’s a gorgeous little pond that is amazingly reflective. I decided to go with the artsy fartsy approach on this one photo.

Is there a clock?

We got home at 01:00 from our WA trip and by 07:00 I was on the road again. Working on a new project with Outdoor Channel, I had the opportunity to just drive by Half Dome in Yosemite. We had rain all day long with the clouds really not playing very nice. So, when I had a heartbeat of light on Half Dome, I made the click.
