Received an email today from Mark Skar in MT who had seen our Yellowstone Big Game video at Kelby Training. We talk alot about ‘ol #6 in that video, he is even one of the segments, he was an amazing bull elk, a big old boy who had let the air out of a few cars and tourists in his day. He’s appeared here on the blog a couple of times. We just watched him and photographed him a couple of weeks back as he was scratching out a living in the snow. Not any great photo opp, but he was such a monster of an elk, and one really bad ass and just a magnificent animal to watch.  Sorry to report that this icon of Yellowstone died. Gladdened by all of you who took note of his passing and dropped us a note, that’s how our wild heritage should affect us. Here’s the story. Sorry to see the passing of the King of Yellowstone!
