They Typically Go Ignored!

The Double-crested Cormorant is such a cool bird, during the nesting season that is. They have the greatest blur eye during the breeding season, it’s hard for me to not photograph them. Then they are such a stupid bird, you can’t help but wanta spend some time pointing your lens at them. Give ’em a try, you’ll like it!

I Just Love Pink!

Pink on blue, what a dynamic color combo! The trick, getting the blue because in FL, getting the pink, the Roseatte Spoonbill is pretty easy (compared to getting it like in KS).

I Just Hate This!

You’ve got a great bird like this Green Heron, you’ve got gorgeous light on it, the subject size couldn’t be finer and you’ve got a crappy, downright suckie background! There is nothing I hate more and yet it happens quite often. What do I normally do about it (unless needing new teaching images), DON’T CLICK! Suckie is suckie.

The Osprey

Sitting, or standing as it were, at a nest site for long hours is something I have done alot over the decades. Nesting birds perform on demand or on a schedule, they do it all on their own time. That gives one time to ponder the questions of time, or clean their nails.
