Yeap, there is wildlife in Central Park! Ricky here wasn’t the first coon we’d seen but it was by far the most fun. It was just hanging around and lookin cute so it had to be photographed.

The first photo was taken in pure shade which was a little bit of a challenge. Had to be sure as you shot up you didn’t get any canopy because it would burn a hole in the photo. But the shade here while dark it’s color wasn’t tinted. When the coon moved to the other side of the tree, the light filtering through the canopy left a little bit of a green cast. Oh well, that’s how it was.

The real photo opp of the day where the birds! Warblers were everywhere and most of the time, when I had the 18mm attached, at point blank range. My hat’s off to the shooter I saw in the park chasing these little guys around with their big glass. That’s true wildlife photography dedication that I can appreciate!
