FL Birds – Man Made :)
Here is the perfect trainer, both for the pilot and for the photographer. The PT-17 Stearman is a classic trainer from WWII. It’s such a bright and cheery plane it’s hard to believe it got young man ready for war. It’s by no means a rare plane, you can find them all across the country. We found this one flying over the parking lot at Fantasy of Flight. Do homework for our Air2Air workshop while in FL, Sharon and I spent the day at this marvelous “museum.” I’ve been receiving more and more email regarding aviation photography and the most common is, “Where can I go to see if I’m even interested in it?” Fantasy of Flight is a great place. Admission is only $23 which gives you total access to all the aircraft. Everyday the do an flight demonstration and walk you right up to the grass strip for face to face viewing. The Stearman here is one of two planes YOU can fly! This is a great place, I’ll be showing you more the next couple of days so stay tuned!
