Can it Really Be that Simple?
Most of us take around with us a piece of our parents (and I’m not talking DNA), a seed, an idea, a dream that just lingers with us until the time is right. I bet that for many of you, the photography bug came about for just this basic fact of life.
In my case, I had a father in Japan after WWII and the Korean conflict. He brought back everything from using chopsticks to tea sets to Mahjong (I kill at Mahjong) from his time there.
The art of Japan is something I grew up with. To understand what my dad found so enticing about Japan, we made our first journey to the island a number of years ago. We learned alot, enough to know we needed to go back.
Then there is that photography thing. Seriously, I came back with some pretty unimpressive images! There are a number of reasons for that, all of which have now be dealt with so I’m going back figuring on coming back with some amazing images.
And all of this I’m going to have a ton of fun sharing with the folks venturing with us. And that’s the last reason why we’re doing this adventure with M&M Tours. From the Tokyo Fish market auctions to distribution to the amazing modern architecture to the simple joys of walking in the amazing gardens, this is just a small sample of the culture we are so fortunate to explore. So yeah, our reasons for going to Japan are pretty darn simple. That’s why it’s going to be a ton of fun that we can’t wait to share!
