Master Light Program
Moose Peterson and WRP have launched an opportunity for the serious wildlife photographer to take their photography to a whole new level. Moose Peterson’s Master Light Program is a three month intensive shooting, teaching and learning experience for those who want only the very best from their wildlife photography!
Through bi-weekly assignments, critiques of images, a weekend shoot at a exciting North American locale, Moose will share ALL he has learned in his decades behind the camera photographing our wild heritage. It’s all geared to help you and your photography!
This opportunity is only available for four participants each year, one participant for each three month session. Moose will personally select the lucky four who will have an education of a lifetime. Selection will be based on current photography skills, potential photographic skills and more importantly, passion for wildlife photography. The four selected photographers will be able to take advantage of this while learning from their own home. A huge part of wildlife photography today is the electronic age which will be exploited to make the opportunity open to everyone. That means anyone, anywhere on the planet can participate!
During the three months, wildlife photography is just the start of what will be covered. The wildlife photographer of today must begin with being a good wildlife photographer and then advance from there. Photographing people, products and landscapes, understanding film and/or digital, the digital darkroom, being able to learn about the subject and write about it and self marketing are all wrapped up in the phrase wildlife photographer. Camera brand and format is not, so they don’t matter in the selection (but must be digital or 35mm). All of this will be covered more thoroughly and authoritatively than you can find anywhere else!
Those selected will:
- have 3 months of personal instruction and direction from Moose
- have a weekend 1 on 1 shoot with Moose somewhere in North America (travel costs not included) – Snow Geese in New Mexico, Moose in Alaska, Bighorns in South Dakota, Wading birds in Florida are just some of the possibilities.
- have minimum bi-weekly assignments – These assignments cover photography, business, writing, Photoshop and much, much more
- have weekly critiques of the previous work / assignments
- have a gallery of your work posted on MoosePeterson.com for 1 month
- have a gallery of your images published in the BT Journal
How do you get in on this?
You’re invited to send a CD with 30 images to Moose’s office (CDs will not be returned). The images you select can be of any subject, but they should show off your talent and passion for photography and wildlife photography (images should be Jpeg, 8x, 150dpi). From these 30 images will come your first assignment, so select them very carefully. In addition to the images, a 1500 written piece about who you are and where you want your photography to take you is required. Upon acceptance, your mentorship fee of $3500 is due. This fee covers all of your instruction. It does not cover any costs associated with assignments, weekend travel, lodging or food.
