Nikon SB800 Digital Flash

The SB-800 is a major workhorse in my photography. The single SB-800 on Really Right Stuff flash arm or Wimberley Flash arm for flash fill work with wildlife is just the start of the SB-800s work. The office now has 5 SB-800, all being used utilizing Nikon’s CLS system. The majority of the time the SU-800 is acting as the master, the SB-800s as remotes.

All the SB-800s are running off Powerex 2700mAH rechargeable batteries. That includes the SD-8a which each SB-800 has plugged into it. These are essential to get the recycle time to keep up with the motordrive.

A base setting, only a starting point for iTTL flash fill is: iTTL BL -2/3. I have the 5th battery chamber on all the SB-800s and I have found that it does make a difference.
