Moose,
Your bags rock! They are now the only photo-packs I will carry. I bought
my first MP-1 in early 2004 and it was so great I bought an MP-3c in early
2005. As you can see from my website,
I drag them all over the world -- so they take loads of abuse. I spend between
a quarter and half my time on the road. Much more in a single year than most
photographers will do in a lifetime. The MP-1 and 3c are the perfect balance
of protection, size, and light weight.
Moose, I have inadvertently tested everything said about these bags on your
web site and found them to be right on. They fit in overhead bins of small
turboprops. They pass nosy gate attendants in a single bound where other bags
always seem to get flagged for checked baggage. I also found they get through
security faster. Maybe its because they don't have so many nooks and crannies
to hide things in. It could be that they don't look military, they look business
like. Either way, it's saved me a missed connection or two.
Why have two? I have found that the MP-1 is the bag of choice when there is
a need to carry a 500mm or larger lens. The MP-3c is the bag I grab when they
only let you bring one on board. It's turned out to be my favorite because
snapping on the computer case frees your hands up when you're getting around.
But to be honest, I could live without both. For me, these are the best thought-out
photo-packs money can buy.
I can also say that when things do break, Mrs. Moose helps out. It's clear
that you really stand behind your products in a way that too few companies
do today.
Thanks and Best Regards,

What a bag! I'm new to photography, got the MP3C yesterday...I already think it's the best bag I've looked at...and I've looked at the best: Tenba, Lowepro, etc. Thanks for a great job on the design.

I originally purchased the larger bag so that I could lug around my 500 f4 with my other gear and not have to carry around two separate bags. It fulfilled this taks excellently. However, I was looking for a smaller bag that could also carry my laptop. Your new bag is terrific for this purpose. As an experiment I loaded up the following: Canon 1ds with 24-70; 16-40; 85;70-200 and 10-400 with assorted batteries etc. I still had room for another body and another lens. The bag was certainly not too cumbersome and having the computer bag attached really gave it great flexibilty. Neither bag, when carried on a single shoulder is to heavy.
Thanks for thinking of photographers and how to best carry to carry equipment with the least amount of "baggage"

BTW, I love the pack....it's now my permanent camera bag. Very handy to just grab it, sling it over a shoulder and go, knowing that all my gear is in the one place. Now if only I could find enough cash for the 200-400 VR lens, I would be ecstatic! ;-)
Much to my delight, I am happy to report that the MP-3 pack fits, fully loaded, perfectly in the tour pack of a Harley Davidson Ultra-Classic motorcycle, with some room to spare even. So not only does the MP-3 come in handy in overhead luggage bins on airplanes, but it makes a perfect camera bag if you also like to travel on two wheels with your photographic gear! Awesome!

I just wanted to say that I received the MP-3 pack a couple of weeks ago, and it really kicks ass! I've had it on a hike around Lost Lake near Mt. Hood here in Oregon, and it travelled with me to New Jersey and back last week. I'm amazed at how much gear I can get into it, including my 200 f/1.8 with the hood in the deployed position. I'll definitely recommend this bag to anyone who asks. Thanks Again!

I wanted to write and thank you again for all the effort to get me the MP3 bag in Philadelphia and also to share my experience with the bag. To begin with, the size of the bag really helped in boarding a turboprop out of Atlanta (after leaving Philadelphia). They wanted me to check the bag, but because it fit into the overhead I was allowed to carry both of my bags onto the plane.
I recently went to France to follow the Tour de France around. I brought two bags, the MP3 and a small bike backpack from Perl Izumi which had a padded laptop insert/case which fit my 15" Apple Powerbook. The MP3 was incredible in that no matter how full I packed the bag, there always seemed to be room for more (Vest, rain jacket, gps, etc).
The MP3 was more comfortable than the Lowepro Trekker Classic I was using
before as well as holding almost twice as much. I did find a little cheat over not having the computer version, the MP3c. In some cases, there were as much as a million people lining the course and I felt uncomfortable about leaving my computer behind. I found that I could slide the Powerbook, still in the padded case from the Perl Izumi pack, into the shoulder strap compartment, and then just loosen the straps a bit more. I spent about 10 days hiking up roads in the Pyrenees and Alps carrying about 25 lbs in the mp3 and am not sure how I could have done with any other bag. The only real problem I had was with customs. Because I could fit some much into the MP3 (which they thought was all camera related), they did not like how small my bag was for my clothes. I was searched 3
times on my way back from France.
Thanks again,
Kent Williams
ps Thanks to glowing reviews including the ones on your site, I bought the
Nikon D2H for the trip, which along with my F5 worked out great.
"The MP-3 has arrived and it's fantastic! Thanks for such a great product, finally someone got it right. I'll be ordering other versions in the future."

Dear Mr. Peterson,
I want to thank you for your great MP-3 backpack.
Giving you don't ship outside USA, an american friend of mine ordered it and then forwarded it to me.
It arrived just in time to accomodate my new 200-400 (what a lens btw... on the D3 it works fine even with the 1.7x !).
It's the first time I'm so excited about a bag... but seriously, the
MP-3 is just what I looked for to keep all my gear with me without having to use a big fat backpack which weighs 5-7 kg alone!
And as I usually don't throw my backpack on concrete I'm perfectly happy with the "light" padding.
Thank you again and keep up the good work !
Cheers :)
