450 Stearman captured by Z 8 / Z24-70f2.8II
Stability is the first requirement for a good tripod. Providing stability with flexibility is the next to be checked off the list. What’s essential to me is the additional must, the right height. I have a couple of tabletop tripods but have found the Benro Tortoise with its three leg sections a giant amongst tiny. I’ve used it for the tiny Z 6III / Z26f2.8 combo, Z 8 / Z180-600 combo and once with the Z 9 / Z600f4TC. Providing the flexibility and stability is key but there is one more thing, it’s travel size. I can literally fit in my back pocket, the side pocket of the camera bag, it folds up to nothing and weighs nothing. I love the baby Tortoise, when going low the Benro table top for perspective.
