Cessna Citation II captured by D4s / 80-400VR2

Looking out from the FBO, the wildfire smoke seemed just as thick as it was the previous hour. The first two attempts to get up and make this “last” shot had been scrubbed because of the weather. That’s way more common than launching as originally planned. The clock was ticking as the owner of the Citation had sold it, and the new owner was about to take possession of their new jet. We kept looking out the window, looking at the radar, but it wasn’t looking good for the flight. Thirty minutes passed when it appeared on the radar that, a ways south of us, there might be a window. We hooped in the planes and headed south. While the skies weren’t perfect, it was kinda dramatic, and the owner had the images of him flying the Citation for the last time. It turned out third time as the charm.
