AT-6A TExan captured by Z 9 / Z180-600
Idaho skies are quite incredible, stretching from horizon to horizon. You can see clouds coming for some time before they arrive, giving one the opportunity, if so inclined, to be in the right place at the right time. Landscape photography, in large part, is inviting the viewer into that magical moment you fell for. On this afternoon, the clouds were forming for an evening thunderstorm. The sky was dotted with magical shapes, and the shade of blue was soft and romantic. There were no landmarks or shapes that grabbed my imagination to bring back the skies, but I happened to find a familiar and favorite element, a plane. The key was, the AT-6A was just an element and not the subject. Small is key, and I needed its gesture to take to eye to the cloud that had caught my attention. It all came together in the viewfinder, to the clouds and beyond!
