I know that while I write this post the Campers are busily panickly uploading lots of cards, enjoying their images, reading tonight&#8217;s lesson and preparing for a 5AM departure. And, I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;re all too excited to get much sleep with thoughts of tomorrow&#8217;s possibilities when this is the least of today&#8217;s opportunities!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1052 aligncenter\" title=\"bullseye\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moosepeterson.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/bullseye.jpg?resize=395%2C582&#038;quality=100\" alt=\"\" width=\"395\" height=\"582\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Getting this close to prime bulls in great light is what wildlife photography is all about! And like I said, this was the least of today&#8217;s shooting! I should add I don&#8217;t prefer photographing big game with a focal length greater than 400mm. In this case, with safety in mind and the fact that optical compression wasn&#8217;t going to change my message, working at 1000mm worked out perfectly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Special kudos to Frank at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moosepeterson.com\/blog\/archives\/2008\/04\/09\/d3s-in-stock-5-of-em\/\"><strong>Crown Camera<\/strong><\/a> who saved the day by getting a new D3 (w\/the Moose discount no less) to a Camper who&#8217;s camera had an unfortunate day.
