After pulling an all nighter doing star trails (which turned our freakin cool), we started a little after sunrise with breakfast and then scouting. This place is just AMAZING! The photographs I’ve seen of Monument Valley don’t all seem to do it justice so that’s my challenge and it’s a whopper of a challenge. Part of solving that challenge for myself is getting to know the place and to know the place, you have to know the folks who call it home, the Navajo. So, I spent a few hours today with the Jackson’s who live at the bottom of the Valley on the 17mile drive. Got to know Albert real well and what you see here is his office everyday. It was a very special time learning about how the Navajo regard MV and a huge challenge to bring that out in my images and videos we’re filming. You’ll here more about all of that as the week goes one so stayed tuned!<\/p>\n
