Yeap, running up the rocks and over the top I got in position just as the clouds were blowing a part. By changing my angle to the Pemaquid Lighthouse, I not only incorporated the clouds with the lighthouse, but more importantly the drama they bring to the lighthouse. But what new problem did I create for myself in making the move?<\/p>\n

The lighthouse is no longer frontlit but sidelit. That change now makes the clouds on the left side of the frame brighter then those on the right. You can see above the loss of detail in the top left corner. How’d I get it back? Using a .09 Lee Split Grad (very hard to find, contact Jeff<\/a><\/strong> if you want one) angled so the dark portion was in the top left corner and the clear on the bottom right. Last big challenge? Shooting the lighthouse so it looked right made the horizon line really slant. I went with putting the horizon line correct, looks like the lighthouse is falling over. Even tried a PC-E lens, no help. Oh well, that’s how it goes sometimes. But this is not the finished image. This is just the out of the camera version.
