The Photoshop World<\/a> Photo Safari packed the bus and took a drive to Chloride for a fun afternoon. The theme I set for the day was light, so after a in class presentation we hit the “ghost town” of Chloride to put what we talked about in action. We were very fortunate to have along the very talented Emily and Sam to model not the latest fashion, but light. Our first stop on the discussion of light was the saloon. It made sense to me to stop there first, needed that drink in the 102 temp!<\/p>\n

You can see above our little gallery. With that large, big south facing “window” we had the perfect light in our studio for working with Emily and Sam. We needed for flash, no reflectors, just using that large opening and by positioning our light models we could make our photographs. We started with the model out in the sun and then slowly moved them back into the gorgeous light so all could see and learn the lessons of light I was sharing.<\/p>\n

Not everyone stuck around, they elected to explore the town of Chloride as there was much to see and photograph. In order to see it all, I proposed a little photo contest with B&H<\/a> making available a $100 and $50 Gift Card for the winners.
