Ah, to wiggle the ol toes in the warm Florida sands, wasn’t going to happen today. We went out to neither sun or fog but overcast. With those conditions, it was off to Ding Darling. The third lagoon had the Roseattes, not in the greatest scenario but still, they are Roseattes. It was a challenging shoot with minimal light, distracting foreground, birds not in their finest plumes, but shooting it was none the less. It required the 600VR & TC-17e with HSC to get this shot of a single bird on this cool perch. I was testing the D3x in HSC just to see what I would get. It’s not a viable option for the price IMHO.<\/p>\n
