Wowzers, that’s what I said out loud when I took the Robus tripods<\/a> out of the box, set them up and used them. This new line of carbon fiber tripods is built like a tank but with the weight savings of carbon fiber. The two I have are the Robus RC-8860 Vantage Series 5<\/a> and Robus RC-5570 Vantage Series 3<\/a>. These are their specs:<\/p>\n

These tripods WILL last you a lifetime but will not cost you your life’s savings! The RC-8860<\/a> I’ll have my Zenelli<\/a> (pictured with Oben GH-30 Gimbal<\/a>) carrying my Nikkor 800f5.6 AFS<\/a>. The RC-5570<\/a> I’ve mated with the RRS BH-55<\/a> (pictured with Oben BC-139<\/a> for all the rest of my locker. I’ve had them in mud, sand and now snow and they are jsut as smooth and steady as when new out of the box. The tripods come in their own heavy duty case and with the Video Bowl and THREE different feet included, you’re getting one helluva tripod for the price! All I can say is, wowzers!<\/p>\n
