Case in point, the mysterious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1431716-REG\/nikon_4185_ftz_mount_adapter.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x915413\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FTZ Adapter<\/a>. In a nutshell, it permits over 90 F Mount Nikkor lenses to attach and work fully with the Z Mount. Really feakin well! But to the point, it adds the air gap back to the F Mount lens optical formula, provides the contacts so the camera and lens can talk, and &#8220;reduces&#8221; the Z Mount diameter down to the F Mount diameter. Many see this and ask, &#8220;Is there any play&#8221; and the answer is a resounding NO! I&#8217;ve pounded my first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1431716-REG\/nikon_4185_ftz_mount_adapter.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x915413\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FTZ Adapter<\/a> which I&#8217;ve had since Sept, been actually brutual to see if that really firm connection would &#8220;wear down.&#8221; It has not, just as rock solid as when I first attached it. Why do we have 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1431716-REG\/nikon_4185_ftz_mount_adapter.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x915413\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FTZ Adapter<\/a> when we have four bodies? That&#8217;s because one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/search?Ntt=Nikon%20Z&#038;N=0&#038;InitialSearch=yes&#038;sts=ma&#038;Top+Nav-Search=&#038;BI=8449&#038;KBID=9350&#038;KWID=DFF&#038;DFF=d50\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Z body<\/a> will have attached either the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1431708-REG\/nikon_20072_nikkor_z_24_70mm_f_4.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x915411\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Z24-70<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1431709-REG\/nikon_20081_nikkor_z_35mm_f_1_8.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x917149\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Z35f1.8<\/a> which I know we&#8217;ll add the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1452459-REG\/nikon_20070_nikkor_z_14_30mm_f_4.html\/BI\/8449\/KBID\/9350\/DFF\/d10-v21-t1-x936298\/SID\/DFF\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Z14-30<\/a> to that list shortly.
