The IoSafe 1515+ installation just keeps getting better and better! I’m so in love with this system! Unbeknownst to me was all the Synology especially the Mobile Apps brings to the table. With DS File, DS Photo and DS Cloud, I can access ALL my images from ANYWHERE in the world with my iPhone, iPad and even my MacBook. Really you ask … watch!
Really Right Stuff just brought out their Pocket Pod and it rocks! It’s is incredibly small yet incredible stable. As you can see below, it easily holds the Df / 300PF. And because I knew someone would ask, yes, I put the 800 / D4s on it and it held it steady as well. Now what you see on it is the basic RRS Microball which you can get as one unit if you’d like. I put the BH-25LR Ultra-light on mine just to give it a little more movement. The new Microball works really cool with that lever for movement. But whatever head you choose, this is a great little addition to your camera bag!
Just heard another disaster story so I though I should remind all … Tighten them 70-200VR2 tripod foot screws! I first posted this warning years ago and then a couple of years ago. Now many put loctite in these screws holes. I will never do that because if the lens goes to Nikon for repair (a big if), they want those screws loose. Yes, I know about the loctite that’s not permanent, still ain’t going there! I just need to remember to check them every so often and all is good. I just wanted to pass that reminder on to you.

Ever since I posted this video teaser over the weekend, I’ve been flooded with emails asking how was it shot. The video was shot over a 24hr period on our recent K&M AirAdventures in Minot, ND by Brent. There are a couple of things that make it really amazing. First and foremost is Brent and the talent he brings behind the camera telling the story. He’s just really good at shooting, editing and telling a story. Next is the location, Minot Aero Center, we only use the best when it comes to our AirAdventures. Lastly are the tools Brent used. He shot with the D4s, 24-85AFS on the Revo 23″ Camera Track Slider. I posted about this simple rail a while back. Brent simply followed the light and used the rail to bring life to the static aircraft. He’ll be at Photoshop World in August so if you have more questions, find him and ask. He’s really a great teacher!
