It might sound funny, put there are times when you need to bring movement to video. The movement is the camera moving in relationship to the subject. We needed a very light weight, very strong and very portable slider. My friends at B&H told me about the Axler 30″ Carbon Fiber Slider so I checked it out. It fits in my luggage, weighs just a couple of pounds but solid as a rock. The most important thing is it is smooth as silk.
