Na, the hummer did not “spear” the bumble bee with its bill. But in my imagination it sure did! Rather, the bee was in its way out from the feeder as the hummer was on its way in. I’ve been playing with that scenario trying to come up with a “cute” image and this is as close as I came the first day. More days to improve on it but my sense of humor, yeah, it is what it is!
