I’ll be right upfront with you, I thought this latest social trend was kinda, another social media, thing. Then I had a conversation with a couple of other shooters who knew about it but hadn’t acted on it. It’s from that conversation that I have come to understand that what started out as a social media thing can become a way for the photographic community to celebrate being photographers and the work we do. There will be a big variety of photographs, a big community of photographers we all could come to know and celebrate. Big waves, rugged coastline and a lighthouse on the bluffs, about as romantic a photograph you can conjure up! The trip is in the middle of winter to take advantage of the giant waves that occur along the entire coastline. From rocky cliffs, long beaches and lighthouses, we’ll chase those monster waves and the drama they bring. Cape Disappointment is our main focus for capturing those giant waves and iconic views! We will start and end in Portland and I’ll be taking just six hearty shooters (2 spots left) along on this probable wet adventure. The price is $1950 (half do at the time of registration) which includes transportation once you land until you take off again, lots of instruction including lighting a lighthouse, long exposures & B&W, laughs and perhaps a hot cup of Joe once or twice.
