Morning Celebration

There is just something about a day when you’re up, out and greeting the sun when it says hello. In photography, there are no guarantees and this is especially true when it comes to seeing the sun. You might be out with a camera in hand, but that is not always enough to make that photograph you have in your heart to make. This was such a morning, day, when even though we greeted the sun, it soon disappeared in the snow that was coming in. With the snow and the wind, much of what I wanted to photograph became elusive and at the end of the day, there wasn’t much on the card to represent the day. Yet, when just this one photo appeared on the computer, I couldn’t help but smile. We are incredibly fortunate to chase our memories with a camera in hand. On those days when we don’t come back with all we hoped for, being up and greeting the sun, we will have that morning celebration!

New England Lighthouse & Fall Color Workshop!

Surf bounding at your feet, fall color lining the road ahead, a foghorn calling in the distance with fresh lobster on the plate, all this can only mean one thing. Maine in October! You have waves crashing on rugged shores (screaming for a 6x ND shot), New England architecture and colors framed in the red Maples, and of course, majestic lighthouses. Color and black and white, it excites the senses and challenges the skills. It’s such a target-rich area that it hurts to pass up photographs and that’s why we’re going back. This is a favorite locale of ours we have ventured to for decades and yet, there are new locations and photographs to make. So we’re going back and invite you to come along for the fun and photos!

The dates are 05-09 Oct 2020 (fly into Portland ME on the 5th and out the 10th). We will pick you up at the airport and then take you back and in between, we will shoot, work in the digital darkroom, and have a ton of fun! We’re inviting six-shooters on the adventure, the price is $1790 including all of this and more!

Wonder just what kind of photographs you can expect to come back with? Check out our workshop gallery to get a sample. And with these photographs you take are all the lessons, techniques and passion that WILL move your photography forward!

We are very excited to be ablt to offer All our Workshop / Adventure participants a full, one-year KelbyOne Pro Subscription (with paid registration starting July, 2018). This is being made possible by our dear friends at KelbyOne, which we are incredibly grateful for. This provides you to ALL of the KelbyOne Classes (and their discounts on other products) including Moose’s Classes.

We’d be honored if you were one of the six shooters joining us! 1/2 of the price is due at registration, the balance 30 days out. If you’re interested, give Sharon a call at the office, 760.924.8632 (M-F 9-5). Can’t wait to go!!!
