It arrived a couple of weeks ago and I just finished my dear friend Joe’s new book. Food Photography is a delectable read for sure, I even went back for seconds! It’s been a lot of fun taking the Z6 on my adventures this year. It is my all-time favorite knock-around camera of all time! Small, light and basically silent, being able just to shoot away in nearly every possible situation and come back with the photos so easily, just is fun. So I had the opportunity to take the Z6 deep, and I mean deep so I dove right in!
Sinking into the inky depths, the blue filtered light really sets the scene to this secret world. Shooting the Z6 / 105f1.4 with its nearly silent shutter, I was set back from the rest just watching the pattern of the Jellies as they floated by. ISO at 1600, shooting at f1.4 in AAA, even in these very low light situation, it was easy to see and the camera to focus. We’ve been into the Jellies at the Monterey Bay Aquarium but I’ve never had so much fun with so little effort to take photos of them before. I was great fun doing deep with the Z6 and the Jellies!
