It was just one of those grand adventures of life. Yep, had plans, places to be and critters to photograph but the weather was having nothing to do with it. Our flights were toasted and that, was that. We were stuck in the north terminal at SeaTac and while Sharon was curled up sleeping, I went shooting. Grabbing the Z7 / Z24-70 I just started wandering the terminal shooting. I put the Z7 on Silent shutter, cranked up the ISO to minimize the depth of focus and had a marvelous time shooting amongst all the sleeping travelers who had no clue I was shooting. I was a bit frustrated in that I saw all these great photos while taxing in of aircraft on the ramp that I couldn’t get too stuck in the terminal. It might have been 03:00 but I was wide awake looking for photos of aircraft in the fog. Around 04:00 the ramp came to life and I was able to get some of the fog that had grounded our flight. I was happy to see our aircraft getting prepped, it meant not only we would get out but it made for a cool photo.

Life, darn if it doesn’t get in the way of life sometimes. As it would happen, we have 1 opening in both our fall landscape workshops to Arches and Yosemite. The information for each workshop is below but that’s really the bare bones. Our adventures are as much about laughter as f/stops, passion as Photoshop, bringing your visual storytelling to life! If you’ve heard I get folks up early, that’s true. If you’ve heard I ask questions and make you think about the photographic process, that’s true. If you heard we eat really well, that is sadly, all too true! And if you heard you come back with the images, this is most certainly true! I will help you move your photography forward and that is truly my goal. Come, join us!

Yosemite 26 Nov – 01 Dec, 2018!
Fall in Yosemite is magical that simply has to be witnessed and shared! It’s been longtime since Sharon & I have spent fall in Yosemite with lots of water so off we’re going and we want YOU to share it with us!
This is a landscape and wildlife adventure with rocks and rabbits, falls and owls with a coyote and deer thrown in for fun. If you’ve ever been to The Valley in the summer, you will go nuts seeing it dressed in fall color with such treasures as Half Dome, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls. Fall is when we’re able to venture up to Glacier Point which is an E-Ticket all on its own!
We’re taking six folks on this adventure. We’ll be sharing with you all our favorite and secret locales for grand views and critters. Might even treat you to a hot chocolate by the fire as we venture into the digital darkroom. It will be a grand time. The price for all of this and more is $1895. If you want to join us, give Sharon a call 661.204.1506
