Howdy, and welcome to my first Moose Shooting Report. In this episode, I take you to Bolivar Flats, TX and its marvelous shorebird photography. In these short reports, I share with you some of the logistics, tips, tricks, successes, and failures from my week of shooting. How Do You Know the Light is Hard?

You know the light is hard when Sanderlings are foraging with their eyes closed! Or, when the shadow they cast on the sand are so short and black. The only saving grace for photography in such light is, the sand is a natural bounce card filling in some of the shadow. Shooting this morning OBX was good but birds were scarce. It only takes one bird though to make it a fine shoot! Besides the call of the wild pancake, you know its time for breakie when the light is so hard.
