While I was in the land of Kelby, I stopped by the studio and shot a short 25min video on the D3s. It’s a quickie getting you up, running and shooting stills and video with this great camera. Drop on by, there is the real possibility you’ll pick up a tip or two or three.

Photoshop World is just around the corner. Besides making sure all my classes are ready (with thanks to my assistant Steph) and putting the final touches the Pre-Con McNally & I host (which will be our best ever, thanks Sandy!), Dave Cross saves my butt for planning the rest of Photoshop World. Well, is doesn’t plan it but makes it real simple for ALL of us to make it to the classes we want to see most. Dave created this planner which is real slick, you can get it here and if you’re not registered, you need to be at Photoshop World, there is nothing like it on the planet. And if you are registered, I sure hope you take a moment and say hi, it’s my favorite part of the whole week, meeting you folks! As for Dave Cross, what he teaches at PSW is like this planner, simply InGenious!
Folks have noticed that our 2010 schedule is just about full, we have a couple of openings for Bozeman (and 2 for Santa Fe from recent cancellation) and that’s it for this year. And, there is nothing up for 2011. At least not on the website. So, what gives with DLWS, the hottest workshop series on the planet?
DLWS 2011 is most definitely happening and in a bigger and better way, but not bigger like you might think. We’ve cut the maximum group size down to 20max and the number of events to only five. At the same time we’ve increased the learning, fun, locations and expense (NAPP folks still receive the 5% discount of course!). All new Sunday line up, Landscape live demos, and our own lovely Ms. Stephanie teaching PS (you’ve probably seen her on PSUserTV). And we’re signing up folks by special invitation only which is why you’ve not seen anything on the website. Our first event in Yosemite next winter is just about full and we’re about to send out invitations for our HI event. How do you get a special invite?
You’ll have to drop Stephanie an email (and an email just saying “please add me to the list” isn’t going to get you added to the list). Then, once she’s satisfied that you’re crazy and big hearted enough to join us, you’ll get the invite and be on the list for future events. We’ve taken all the great stuff about DLWS and raised the bar a couple of notches to create what we think will be just a killer event. Hope you can join us in 2011!
No doubt about it, this overhaul was a labor of love. I don’t even want to count up the days, not hours but days I put into overhauling Moose’s Camera Bag but man, did it need it! There was so much old stuff, mix match and just a mess that it was long overdue. What you’ll find now is all new text, new product shots and links I sure hope I did right (Oh Stephanie, links to check again). What you can see here is I have the links for the text and the video right here on this one page. And you can also see the videos we’re generating to make everything up to date. And once all are produced, we’ll be going back and updating the old videos. So by summer, I predict I’ll be fed up with this update but should have it done. I sure hope though that some of the information here is of help to you because that’s the whole idea. Enjoy!
