It was dark as sin so to make the shot without cranking up the ISO, I had to use a 1/2sec shutter speed. Only 1 of the 30 was marginally sharp. But I love the overall shape the group of spoonbills make.

Another blog I recommend watching for behind the scene Olympic coverage is my dear friend Jeff. Here’s what I find really funny about this. Jeff is a small guy but plays hockey, as in seriously plays. I don’t know how many times I’ve talked to him after a game to hear he has broken a jaw or some other bone. Well he’s going up to cover the US Hockey team, doing so with a broken rib bones, broken playing hockey. I hope he reads this and laughs, want him to think of me :)
