Floating Fur Ball

There I was on the slough hoping the Hooded Mergansers would come over and play. No Joy. It was a gorgeous day so we just hung. Then I floating fur ball came in our direction. A passerby said, “Look, a Beaver”. I didn’t correct them as they were walking fast and I just wanted their disturbance on the waterfowl to stop. I watched the fur ball as it approached the ice flow. Muskrats are a funny water critter I enjoy watching. It soon popped up on the ice, fluffed its fur to retain its heat and then took back to the water. It wanted to play and swam basically to me. With the water looking the way it did, the light, I just had to make some shots of the floating fur ball.
