Jon was kind enough to watch my class yesterday at Photoshop World (You were there, right?) and reached out with some very kind words. Thank You! But he had a great follow-up question after watching the class. “How do you expose for your emotion?” I can understand the question as very few actually talk about it. To put it in simple emotional terms, want to say mad/upset/dramatic, underexposure. If you want to say all is good, expose as the meter suggests. Want to say glorious/ecstatic overexpose. This is of course just a starting point but it’s easy for me to remember dark is moody and light is joyous. Looking at the photo above, how do you think I exposed? Great question, hope that helps Jon.
