Fall Color, Philmont Scout Ranch, NM captured by Z 30 / Z16-50
It probably seems almost like sacrilege to find fall color only to tell its story in B&W. But there are times when the scene’s drama is more than the fall color, color, expressed in a photo. It’s those times I like to turn to B&W. Such was the case this morning at Lover’s Leap. It started with being with the greatest group of folks to be out in nature with in the first place. In the dark, we pilled out of the Suburbans and gathered at the back of the one with the hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches hot from the kitchen. As the glow in the east grew, one by one cameras were picked up and all went on their personal journey to tell its story. This morning I picked up the Z 30 w/Z16-50, placed it in Monochrome as the drama of the location was more than the fall color. We each have to find that answer just keep in mind it’s our memory so we can preserve it any way we desire. It’s the sharing to the rest of the world we need to think about others understanding that memory.
