Mushroom captured by Z 8 / Z24-120f4
There it was on the trail to Moxie Falls in ME, this miniature radar dome glowing in the morning light. I’m not a macro photographer but I do love beautiful light so with my knee making its grinding noise I bent over to make a click. Below you can see the progression as I tried to make it all work in the viewfinder. The texture, color, and shape in that light was the goal but it took a bit of thought. The Z24-120 is a brilliant macro lens and with the monitor of Z 8 pulled out, it was possible to move around the shroom. The final image worked the best for me as I used Sharon to create a shadow on the left side of the shroom. I wanted some of its world to be in the frame but be fainter than what I was seeing with my eye. We’re here looking for Moose and fall color (finding neither the first day) and had fun with my friends with this pretty poisonous ball.
