Simple Click – Richmond Bridge

On the drive back from San Fransisco we traveled across the Richmond Bridge. The fog was just starting to lift and the light, disappearing bridge and cars just grabbed my imagination. I put the camera on the dash and made the click. This is not a recommend camera technique.

Great Photo Contest for You!
This is a cool contest that I am very excited to be apart of. The folks at Adorama have put this together and they have made it fun and rewarding for you. It’s an iPhone photo contest! It’s pretty darn simple, take an iPhone photo, email it from you iPhone if you want and you’re in! You can even win prizes by simply voting for an iPhone app! Dang, it just keeps getting better and better and you read about it. How am I involved? I’m just one of a great group of judges that get to pick the winner.
What you have here are two examples of iPhone photos I’ve taken just this week. The top photo is of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was taken after dark and finished with the Photoshop iPhone app, converting it to B&W. The bottom was done with the iPhone at TrueHDR. This app is pretty amazing to me, didn’t know the iPhone had that much computing power or could perform that kind of function. At the very least, it could be used as a great in the field HDR preview. These are just two of the possible 1000s of images YOU can capture that just might win. I look for to seeing YOUR entry!

The Nikon D4
The Nikon D4 is the finest and funniest Nikon I have ever shot with! Coming from the D3x, I wondered is the shooting with less megapixels would be noticeable. Nikon did an excellent job with the D4, so much so that I don’t miss the D3x at all! The D4 has so many features that make it a stand apart.
The number 1 new feature of the D4 that rocks my world is its 6 stop range. This coupled with the new 91k meter and Exceed processor evolves exposure and photographic possibilities. Then comes its 10fps with nearly 100 frame buffer! While not a feature I use all the time, the times I’ve needed it, it rocks! Simple things like Custom Setting e4 is huge as is its new level feature. Then there is its video with 1080 video with its 2.7 1080 crop which is outstanding!
