In this episode “FREE”
The word “free” gets bantered around a lot in photography, especially by those in business. It is most often cursed and spat upon as bad. Is it?

The HooDoos are calling us back and we’d love to have you join us! We’re heading to Bryce Nat’l Park 30 March – 04 April 2020 when the park has few folks but enough snow bringing to life it’s gorgeous reds and oranges.
Bryce is a gorgeous place when the snow highlights the red, and the soft winter shadows give life to the unique texture of its formations. The cool temps and dates keep the public away so we will basically have the place to ourselves. It’s always a marvelous week of fun, processing, and photography. We can’t wait to share it with you!
The price is $1790 and covers transportation to and from the airport and for the week, instruction, entertainment, fun, and Sharon (but you can’t take her home with you!). If you’re interested, give Sharon a call 760.924.8632 (9-5PDT M-F). We will only be taking six-shooters.
We are very excited to be ablt to offer All our Workshop / Adventure participants a full, one-year KelbyOne Pro Subscription (with paid registration starting July, 2018). This is being made possible by our dear friends at KelbyOne, which we are incredibly grateful for. This provides you to ALL of the KelbyOne Classes (and their discounts on other products) including Moose’s Classes.
With the coming of summer are the afternoon thunderstorms on the Eastside. The power of rising moisture has in the creation of clouds fascinates me. So, I set up the Nikon Z7 / Z14-30 on afternoons never really knowing what I’ll capture, nor for how long. All days but two days so far this year, rain chases the camera back in (it’s plugged into 120 with the EH-5D & EP-5B). The other factor is clouds that look cool in a time-lapse which don’t always perform. On this day, it never rained right on the camera so I was able to capture 11hrs which created in camera a 1.30min Time Lapse. Created all in the Z7, I just added music and posted. Enjoy
In this episode “Grave with the Ends Knocked Out”
I was reminded this past week that all creatives including photographers can hit that wall when the clicks just don’t come. It’s happened to me, perhaps you. How do you get past the grave with the ends knocked out?

Portland Lighthouse won’t be part of this Adventure
08-13 Jan, 2020 Oregon – Washington Coast
Big waves, rugged coastline and a lighthouse on the bluffs, about as romantic a photograph you can conjure up! We had such a tremendous response to our first week and a waiting list, we decided to add a second week to this workshop! We’ll start near Tillamook, OR and end up at Cape Disappointment, WA. The trip is in the middle of winter to take advantage of the giant waves that occur along the entire coastline. From rocky cliffs, long beaches and at least five lighthouses, we’ll chase those monster waves and the drama they bring. Cape Disappointment with giant winter waves has long been on my list and I plan on getting the shot and changing the name of that point! We will start and end in Portland and have one lodging change during the trip. I’ll be taking just five hearty shooters along on this adventure (have just one opening). The price is $1895 (half do at the time of registration) which includes transportation once you land until you take off again, lots of instruction including lighting a lighthouse, long exposures & B&W, laughs and perhaps a hot cup of Joe once or twice. We’d love to have you join us! Give Sharon a call 760.924.8632 (9-5PST M-F) and she’d be happy to get you signed up for the fun and adventure!

We’ve had a cancellation and would love to have you join us! We’re very excited to be offering our Montana Wildlife, Landscapes and Ghost Town Adventure 07-12 July 2019 (that’s next year :-). We’ll be based out of Bozeman, MT and exploring the vast grandeur the MT landscape offers. Big game, vast vistas and the many ghost towns are greater than we have time to fully explore providing tons of photographic subjects. Being the start of summer, the skies are full of gorgeous clouds giving us gorgeous light to work with.
The price is $1890 which includes transportation once in Bozeman, MT, instruction and all entrance fees. The Adventure will cover photography, biology, history and digital darkroom instruction. The Adventure is limited to just six shooters (get it, the west, six shooters, couldn’t pass it up?). If you’d like more information or to sign up, give Sharon a call 760.924.8632. We look forward to shooting with you, partner!
