This episode of the Moose Podcast #350 – “The Day Rate”, A key to the photography business, the Day Rate is where may think the profit starts and ends. I propose there is a lot more to the Day Rate that you need to ponder and incorporate. Here are my thoughts.

In this episode of the Moose Podcast #349 – “Bringing Home that Lovin Feeling”, Photography is a celebration of life, a tangible record of our memories of our journeys. That’s why it’s one of the biggest challenges, the personal aspect of the photographic process.

It’s the weekend, it’s summer, it’s the perfect time to jump into those summer photographic projects (Podcast #348)! That’s what I’ll be doin for sure now that all the nesting boxes are in full swing. We’ve been watching them and we have all three species of Nuthatch now with nestlings being fed by very busy parents. As you can see, this won’t be the first time I’ve photographed them so why a second time and why is it a project?
Great questions! The main reason is, you can see flash in the photo. I don’t want you to see that flash. I want the light to appear more like the sun sneaking through the canopy above lighting the nesting box. How do I plan to accomplish this? Another great question! I’ll be using the Profoto A10 with the Grid and half cut CTO click on filters to channel and color the light. It will be a on stand more to the front of the box than the flash used in this photo as well as higher. I practiced on the box last fall when there were no birds just to be ready this spring. It is the weekend, time for those summer projects. Jump in, the water is great!

On June 6th, over three hundred thousand participated in the D Day invasion. They influenced our world today, many by making the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Your love and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Thank you!
