Grand Canyon, Arches, Bryce, Valley of the Gods, Valley of Fire and my favorite, Monument Valley is where you should be with your landscape lens! That’s right, head west, southwest right now as the monsoons heat up and drama comes to the sky framing the dramatic landscape. Yes, it is hot but that’s what drives away many of the tourists and fills the skies with puffies. Besides the lightning storms that bring great romance to the land, B&W comes into play. With the ease of B&W right in camera, it’s fun and easy to create gorgeous shots. And with the camera set to Monochrome (B&W), by depressing the I button, you can see your finished B&W right in the viewfinder. So now’s the time to go west!
