Cunningham Hall captured by Z 9 / Z70-200f2.8
I’d been staring at the Cunningham Hall for a day, something about this 1920s aircraft really caught my attention. The downpour had ended and we launched in the 185 to do a photo mission with it. Overhead we circled seeing the Cunningham Hall taxi down to the warm up area then warm up. We kept circling but the Cunningham Hall wasn’t moving. Then the radio cracked … sorry gents, bad magneto and sticky right brake. We entered the pattern and soon we were back on the ground. I strolled over to the Cunningham Hall to where it had taxied back to and just stared at it. Those clouds I wanted to put behind it in the air were still there, so were lots of folks. I walked up with the Z70-200 at 200mm until I saw nobody in the viewfinder and just plane and went click. Probably cause I love the design elements of the Cunningham Hall but I just love the click. Simple, clean, romantic, often what you have when you’ve got clouds.
