This is the first time I’ve been to NH as a shooter and it surely won’t be the last! Literally every turn has something new to shoot and here’s a perfect example. This old steam roller parked at the Cog Railway is a great example of old technology. It’s also a great example of a great subject in the worst situation. The surroundings and the light both suck, at least to me so how do you “jazz” them up? In this case, I did a one image HDR then in PS, darkened the area around the steam roller. That’s the game of photography, determine the photographic goal, the problems if any blocking that goal and finding the solutions to reach that goal. You don’t always win, but it’s always fun to try and better when you do when!
