The Bitterroots captured by Z 8 / Z180-600
The summer thunderstorm was moving quickly, and I didn’t think I would find a place to park before the moment was gone to go click. The drama in the clouds and the light were gorgeous, but those highlights, which I didn’t know as I struggled to park, if I could hold them in one click. Grabbed the Z 8 / Z180-600, setting the Z 8 to 10,000k and went click. Raising the WB was enough to grab just a breath of detail in the highlights, saving and making the photo. The highlights were preserved, the storm and clouds had moved on. All in all, captured the blow out while saving the blow out!
