We’re very excited to share with you that we are going to the Yellowstone 18-23 Oct 2026 and would love to have you join us! We just had a seat open up and would love to have YOU fill it! Bison and Elk have their winter coats, the landscape is a carpet of colors, the crowds are gone, and the photographic opportunities are plentiful. And we’ll do Old Faithful a little bit differently than most (wx permitting). It’s Yellowstone, they come no grander!
We only take five shooters and are hoping you are one! You will fly into Bozeman, MT, where we will pick you up and bring you back after the week. The price is $2800, which covers everything except food and lodging.
If you can join us, please reach out to Sharon at 406. 240. 3503 (9-5MDT) so she can take care of securing your spot.
We’re very grateful to have you in our group and look forward to shooting with you!

It was a cold and drizzly day, but the fun and activity heated it right up! It was the last day of the Museum of Mountain Flying Fly & Fish Summer Camp, where the kids get to fly. It was fun photographing the anticipation and trepidation on the campers’ faces as the flight brief was being conducted. This is such a great program, only one of the twenty 8-14yrs old had flown in a small plane previously. Wearing credentials, I was way out on the taxi way capturing their expressions taxing out and then taxing back, huge fun. In between flights, I watched the clouds float by and the occasional commercial flight launching from MSO. When the planes carrying the campers would launch, I figured I would grab some clicks, though I didn’t really have the right lens. But then the clouds performed, making for some fun clicks telling the story of the wx that day. I was hooked and clicked a whole bunch once the mindset changed. There was no use just standing there.

It was a glorious day! What started as a nice little puffy turned to sky filling! The annual Museum of Mountain Flying: Flying and Fishing Summer Camp is underway, with day two on the river. Day one was in the classroom, tying flies. Day three is building a plane, learning to rivot and the such. Day four is up in the skies being taken on flights around the Missoula Valley. Well, today was on the river, and it was a hoot! Twenty kids with fly rods learning the fine art of casting and waiting. Every so often, we’d hear a rumble behind us, and by 10:30, well, you see how the bluebird blue skies change. By 13:00, the show was on, and the rain fell. It was an amazing day with the kids, lots of fun with Blackfoot Thunder Monster.
