Cloud Time Lapse captured by Z 6III / Z24-70f2.8II

I love clouds! If this were a still, I’d take the image right out of the Z 6III, which was set to Dark Tone Monochrome, drop my cloud Preset on the sky in ACR, and the finishing would be done. Easy peasy! Yeah, that’s not the case in video editing. The Time Lapse movie the Z 6III created tells the movement of the clouds, but not what was on their mind, or more correctly, contained in their bounds. I can’t just drop a mask on the sky like in ACR. That’s why during my Christmas break back in school. I want to learn first, how one accomplishes what I have in mind (if it can be), then see if what I want actually works visually. From that knowledge, and can then decide if it’s something I want to do at all. It’s the creative process I seem to go through a lot on this journey of photography. I love a great challenge!
