Hooded Merganser captured by Z 9 / Z600f4 TC @840mm
Since I first photographed the Hooded Merganser and broke the jinx, I’ve traveled to the slough a few more times in hopes on improving me images. Twice, they were gone, probably back on the river. The last time though they were there and with a little more time, the one male got closer and the background cleaned up some. While the image I have in mind is a long ways from here, it is progress even if small. But I’ll take progress in any increment. I know I still need to put in more time and I’ll get a little closer.
