Female Northern Pintail captured Z 6II / 800f5.6 AFS w/TC-1.25
A gray day doesn’t mean it’s a bummer! Yeah, it’s hard to get out when there is a heavy overcast or like this morning, drenching damp fog, but in the fall when it comes to critters, there will always be a ray of hope. On this morning at a lovely sewage plant (yes, I’m serious), the ducks were floating about. With the gray bouncing from above and beneath (water reflecting the gray), this load female Norther Pintail was a gem. The water was so still though she is a speck in the frame, her warm colors and profile fill it with warmth. It’s a real simple click, the kind I so enjoy finding and being able to make on those days when I know the saying doesn’t always hold true.
