What a great box to unwrap under the tree, a new piece(s) of camera gear. What fun! Hope this was the case, and I want to provide some ideas on how to get a jump start using it. You can find lots of resources here on the website. In particular are Camera Settings. These are the settings I use and can get your experience jump-started. Z 9’s Dark Tone Monochrome

Snow storm coming over the Saphires captured by Z 9 / Z180-600

Nikon dropped Firmware 5.3 for the Z 9 last week and one of the gems is the Picture Control Dark Tone Monochrome. The Z 8 and Z 6III have had it from the get-go, this is the first time for the Z 9, and man, I’m delighted they all have it! This is a simple click coming back from breakfast Saturday, the only challenge was to find a safe place to pull over to make the click.
