I know it should be something to crow about, but it’s a lark and I have to face it later (at least I hope to). Sunrise was such a treat this morning, and to be sharing it with all the critters in the Black Hills, SD, makes it just that more special. The Western Meadowlarks this time of year truly celebrate spring with their song because they truly do have something to lark about!

The Great American West

The American Bison, such an iconic critter of the West. I also look for them when I’m around ridges for the drama that connection can create. It just helps add to their majestic nature, and they often need help in that department. Then, when you have afternoon thunderstorms building and they ridgeline, then you’re talking big drama. It screams the great American West!

Spring in The Hills

… “where the deer and the antelope, play!” The Black Hills of SD are a treasure chest of critter gold in spring. Seriously, hard to know which way to point the lens, especially with thousands of red dog photos. But I never seem to have enough so, I keep clicking away now with spring in The Hills.
