Viola! That’s how our twenty-minute session finished, and in fact, my software glitch was fixed. Aavaz pretty much instantly started talking to me using the Support Chat, asked for remote control, and from there, dove into my Mac and made the repairs. I’m back up and running with all systems a go. I’m sure, like me you’ve had those times with product support that leave you really frustrated. That was not the case this morning, with the support top-notch and leaving me with a smile. So much so, I thought they deserve a shout and thanks. Thanks Adobe!!!

The rain was a lovely backdrop, the clouds providing it a delightful and perfect saturated light. The puffed-up stature of the Crowned Woodnymph made each of its feathers the perfect prism for the light to shine all its magnificent color. It was a perfect moment of serenity.

The rainforest is such a fascinating world with much of its life unfolding high up in the canopy. I suffered many days from “warbler neck,” which I called rainforest neck, caused by looking up into the canopy that towers overhead at that life. There was a location where we would photograph a couple of the hummer species that was a ledge looking out over the top of the canopy on the hillside. It was an amazing vantage point for both the hummers and the many bird species eating the fruit located in the canopy. I fell hard for the White-crowned Parrots last year in part because they are such a challenge to get glass on. At first, just one parrot was perched in the dead center. I put the lens on it to see who it was and then went back to shooting the hummers. The one parrot then became two, but still no photograph. A few minutes later, Sharon told me there were four and the photo was viable. I focused on them and waited until their heads were turned the way you see, and I went click. One of the great joys of the rainforest is seeing the birds through the forest.
